Please Bear With Us At This Sad Time

Sarsfield Memorials were devastated at the beginning of this month when our mum, May, passed away at the age of 91. May’s death comes just eleven months after that of her beloved husband of 63 years, Terry Sarsfield.

Terry, the second generation of Sarsfield Memorials was part of the company since it began, running it from 1968 until 1997 when he passed the reins over to his daughter Ursula, our current Managing Director. Ursula said, “It is a comfort to us as a family, that our mum and dad are now back in each other’s arms”.

With the support of her two siblings and husband, Ursula has continued working throughout December to ensure all orders are scheduled for completion before Christmas will be done. Sadly we have had to let a few families down, due to all the rain we have had. The memorials are ready and we do aim to complete them in January if the weather allows. As a small family business, however, it is very hard to continue providing continuous service after two tragedies in less than a year.

With this in mind, Ursula will be taking a break after close of business on Thursday 21st December to focus on her mums funeral on Friday 22nd December and her own wellbeing. During the coming weeks Ursula will answer emails, but she is hoping not to arrange home visits. She we will do her best to answer email queries and return phone calls.

It is hoped that she will return fully to the office on 22nd January 2024, we will do our best to keep you updated. Please can we ask for your patience and understanding at this difficult time.

Spend time with your family and create beautiful memories, memories are precious and always hold a special place in your heart.
